IMMIGRATION NEWS
While every one gets ready to celebrate our independence and democracy, more than 12 million of our inhabitants are deprived of freedom. This reality, at this moment in history, is incomprehensible.
Thursday, June 25th, President Obama began negotiations with representatives of the United
States Congress to accomplish a new immigration law. This North American country is in favor of the legalization of our undocumented brethren, however, disagreements within our government still exists. Many of these immigrants continue being scarred, persecuted, ostracized, are considered to be worthless and are thrown out of the country even though they are in the middle of processing their permanent residency case. This does not make sense!
Senator Schumer, president of the Judicial Committee for Immigration, considers that in order to enact a new law there needs to be consensus among the democrats and the republicans, decrease illegal immigration, strengthen the infrastructure of our borders, develop a biometric system to regulate authorized workers, register all undocumented immigrants so that they undergo a rigorous legalization procedure, all while recognizing the importance of reuniting families and that the new immigrant workers enter legally, among other points.
The president has taken the first step to initiate a new immigration law, and Schumer has a well balanced plan. Now, the future will depend on each and every one of our actions. Lets begin by uniting the week of the 4th of July, requesting from our elected officials the legalization and freedom for more than 12 million of our undocumented brethren who continue to live in captivity.
In my next free conference on immigration, I will thoroughly explain how to prepare a plan of action, the options available to obtain legal status, and the most important aspect in being in complete control of your immigration case.
